We´re pleased to welcome you to El Peñón de Temascaltepec!

Either if this is your first time here or you are visiting us again as one of our annual regulars, we´re glad we can share our skies with you and fly together.
Take in consideration that conditions at area can become very strong and only manageable by experienced pilots during the dry season (November-May) specially between 12:00 hrs and 16:00 hrs. That is why during the Season (November – February) we strongly encourage pilots to hire a registered guide, we will give those who do that a 30% discount.
If you are not an experienced pilot used to rough sites hiring a registered guide is mandatory.
If you are an experienced pilot (P4/H4+) used to rough sites you are of course welcome to visit us and fly on your own as an independent pilot.
All pilots most register and once approved (by their guide or by the Club, those flying as independent pilots) pay their quota.
For any extra information, you can contact our Season Manager, Camila Antonorsi clubdirector@clubpenon.org

Temascaltepec

Flight Tips

MAIN FLYING ROUTES OF VALLE DE BRAVO

By Patricia García de Letona with English translation help and some comments by Josh Cohn

Below are descriptions of the main flying routes around Valle de Bravo, based on the most typical days of the area during the cross-flying season (October to May). Heights are only recommendations. Remember to make your decisions based on what is happening on the day and based on your knowledge. If you are a very new pilot I recommend that you fly along with more advanced pilots who can advise you not to risk your safety. These recommendations are mainly for paraglider pilots; if you fly a hang glider you will find some useful information, but be sure to talk to a local hang glider pilot who can advise you on these routes, and especially on the  landing options. I hope this information serves you and I wish you good flights!!!
