Club Peñón Open
Every year the club organizes a competition, the Club Peñón Open, which is part of the Mexican Championship.
The 2024 Club Peñón Open will be held from December 12 to December 15, 2024.

EVENT INFORMATION
The competition will take place at El Peñón launch in Valle de Bravo / Temascaltepec.
Pilots registered in the Club Peñón Open do not have to pay the entrance fees established by the club during competition days.
The event will be run according to FAI sporting code rules for paragliding XC competitions.
The event is restricted to certified gliders.
There will be trophy winners based on each glider class.
The goal is to promote friendly relations between pilots from all over Mexico.
REGISTRATION
Registration must be done online on the CIVL website: Registration Link.
All pilots must check-in and pay the day prior to the competition (December 11) at the competition's headquarters, in "Icaros Parapente", on calle del Salitre, in Valle de Bravo.
PAYMENTS
Payments must be made in cash during registration the day prior to the competition.
Entry fee: 2000 pesos
Transportation (optional): 1500 pesos
CLASSES
Classes will be based on EN certification.
- Club (EN-A, EN-B).
- Sport (EN-C).
- Open.
- Women.
SELECTION
- Maximum 80 pilots.
- Pilots must be covered by their medical insurance.
- Pilots must have a valid FAI/USHPA/APPI or other license.
- A number of places will be reserved by the organization.
- The organization reserves itself the right to refuse admission.
EQUIPMENT
Pilots are required to have a certified wing and harnes, a recently packed reserve, a helmet, and a VHF radio set to the safety frequency, as well as a GPS tracker to log their track.
